me n my bestfriend cassandra used to always talk about going off to third-world countries to help the less fortunate and minister to them. but, we were thinking oh, maybe when we're in our late 20's or something.. and of course when the money in our pockets will be sufficient.
luckily, just this past sunday, my fellow churchmate Julian pointed out this ad in my church's newsletter.
my eyes lit up. a window of opportunity! i thought, perhaps this can finally turn into a reality! so i skimmed through the ad, and at the bottom i saw that there was a price tag.
[choke] quadruple digits. $$$$. before january 24th of 2010.
best to save now. asap.
-the question is.. is this doable? you know it. anything is possible. [thanks to phil.4:13].
-the factors are..
1) january comes after december, and in december there lies the holiday aka Christmas. Christmas gift$, will be deducted from this trip.
2) work. hours + amount spent on gas & food.. deducted as well.
3) school. o_o the 24th-31st of january happens to land on the second week of the new quarter. i could always email my teachers...
-yet consider the fact that i've saved enough for a brand new macbookpro, AND managed to get a new cell phone around the same time... it's like taking my motivation to the next level. india.
i'm down. seriously, down. i'm anxious to know what people have to say about this. it's a huge decision to make. and veryy far away from the u.s. any thoughts? insights? word of advice? warnings? requests?
btw,
paula white this friday! soooo excited =]
i will GLADLY take any donations towards my trip to hyderabad, india! make checks payable to Cheryl Baclit and/or give me a call and we can discuss financial arrangements. thank you all for your consideration and have a splendid night ;)
