Again, in this day and age we will find many who know the law and the commandments, but yet lack the understanding as to why it is necessary for us also to manifest mercies and compassion to those who are without. Christianity is not based solely on what we know or what we should know concerning the teachings of Christ, but most importantly it is for us to share the goodness and mercies which we have received from God. We must understand that God requires us to produce this because it is the right thing to do in order to properly show appreciation to God for all that He has done for us. This then leads us to the fulfillment of the commandment,

"Love your neighbor as yourselves."
